Shipping and Returns
COLLECTION IN PERSON
If you are in the local area (Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea) then you are very welcome to collect from my studio for free. Please select this option at checkout and then email me at info@kimkishceramics.co.uk after placing your order to arrange collection.
SHIPPING AND PACKING
I’m a one person operation but will aim to ship your order within 5 days of purchase. I’ve carefully made my ceramics, so I will carefully pack each item so they will arrive safely. The environment and resourcing is important to me, so I will always aim to use previously used packing materials. The boxes may not look pretty, but they are recycled and suitable for another purpose or shipment.
I ship worldwide where possible, with postage bands for the UK, Europe, USA & Canada and Rest of the World. If I find an order has been significantly overpriced for shipping by the website calculations, then I will refund the difference. If there are unusual problems with shipping due to the pandemic or Brexit then I will contact you to see what we can do. UK items are shipped using Royal Mail Second Class Signed For Service. International parcels are sent, where possible, with Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed Service. Any local taxes or import duties are the responsibility of the customer.
An order will not be considered lost in the post until one month has passed.
UK
There is a minimum charge of £4.20 with a fee on top of that of £0.50 per item for the smallest item which covers packing and shipping so that your ceramics will arrive safely. UK items are shipped using Royal Mail Second Class Signed For Service.
EU
Shipping costs have increased this year so I will be charging a base rate of £12 per order with a fee on top of that of £0.50 per item. If your country is not listed as a country I ship to at checkout, please get in touch with me via email (info@kimkishceramics.co.uk) and I will do my best to add it.
Customs Charges:
From 1st July, ‘VAT thresholds will be removed, meaning VAT will be charged on all items except where the item is a gift, being sent from one individual to another and is less than €45* in value.’
This means that orders of all values will incur an extra fee (amount is dependent on the country) at customs which will need to be paid by the buyer/recipient of the order. The customer of the order will be contacted when the parcel goes through customs and the item will be held (I believe) until the fee is paid. This fee is IN ADDITION to the original fee you paid on my website at checkout.
INTERNATIONAL
International shipping costs are very high with a minimum cost of approximately £30 and increasing quite dramatically for larger orders. It’s very difficult to calculate the exact cost so I’ve created an estimate and used this as a base. I will issue refunds where the postage costs are significantly less than estimated at checkout.
USA and CANADA: £30 with a fee of £8 per item (1 item would cost £38 for postage, 4 items would cost £62 for postage)
AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND: £40 with a fee of £11 per item (1 item would cost £51 for postage, 4 items would cost £84 for postage).

Please note that I cannot take responsibility for the postal services. At busy times, such as Christmas, orders can take longer. Please allow extra time if possible at busy periods or for special deadlines such as birthdays, because delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
BREAKAGES
I take great care when packaging up your order to make sure it reaches you in one piece. Unfortunately, breakages do sometimes occur. If your item arrives broken please photograph the item and email me at info@kimkishceramics.co.uk within two days of receiving it. I will arrange a replacement if possible, or a refund.
RETURNS
It's important to me that you're happy with your purchase. As my ceramics are completely handmade, there will sometimes be slight variations in color, size and designs, this is to be expected. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase and your item is not as you expected, please contact me within 5 days of receiving your purchase, and I will do my best to resolve the issue.
Pieces in original, unused condition can be returned for shop credit within 5 days of delivery. Please note that shipping will not be refunded, and the buyer is responsible for return shipping and safe packaging of the item being returned.
